Case File: MCALLASTER, melena jo
Diagnosis: Severe autistic disorder with obsessive compulsive tendencies, self injury is likely including but not limited to head banging, hand biting, can become aggressive if upset.
Treatment: Psychotropic medications for Anxiety, some physical restraints if necessary.
Special considerations: Must watch skin condition on her left hand where she bites herself. Intervene if she starts to bang her head on things, may need to pick her up and carry her if she refuses to transition. Can't leave her alone for too long. Reminders to eat with her fork are necessary. We haven't quite determined why but when she is awaken in the morning for classes she sometimes gets upset. She likes school and things so this trigger is very weird for her. Make sure to avoid certain triggers such as sounds of alarms and things like that.
